The tritype is based off of the idea that there are three "centers of intelligence" (colloquially referred to as "triads") in the enneagram which are each composed of 3 types. It seems most people on the Reddit here just associate tritype with trifix and I’m honestly happy with that since a mix of both seems logically best. But, I feel like they can be contradictory lol. Since you said you got the 8 score pretty high you might have an 8 fix (so between 8,9,1 you might be more inclined to react like an 8).
